Session Description:
We often bemoan the "fact" that kids just won't make healthy choices. But don't despair. Because, in truth, Child Nutrition programs and employees have a tremendous, largely untapped power to encourage kids in the direction of the foods we'd like to see them eat. How? Why, with a little NUDGE!
This session introduces employees to the hot concept of "Nudge" marketing -- using verbal, visual, and physical techniques to give customers a subtle push toward particular choices. Indeed, the ways we present various options and communicate with our customers can have a significant impact on the choices they make and the foods they eat.
Participants will learn how product accessibility, arrangement, presentation, and visibility -- so-called "choice architecture" -- influences customers' choices, as well as how color, graphics, and messaging can help move customers in a particular direction. Not least, they'll learn to understand how their own prompts -- both verbal and non-verbal -- have tremendous power to NUDGE customers, too!
PLEASE NOTE: If your district or group has never taken part in any of our employee sessions, we recommend that you choose the "Turning Service Into Sales" session.
