-
Primarily targeted at Directors, Supervisors, and other front-office staff, as well as

-
Session Length: 45-75 minutes
Session Description:
The way you present your
program to your community can, in a few brief seconds, define your customers’ notions of what you do and how you
do it. That’s why every local child nutrition program can benefit
from an identity campaign, like the ones undertaken in recent years in Moorhead, Minnesota and Denver,
Colorado. The elements were deceptively simple: an internal mission
statement, a new logo, a basic program brochure. But each of these
elements would affect the mindset of the staff, the public image of the operation, and the direction of the
program for years to come. We'll also talk about branding your school
restaurants. By paying close attention to the details of such communication strategies, you can
proactively shape your customers’ perceptions of your entire
program.
Session
Objectives:
Participants will gain a better understanding of how the simplest
messages create an identity for their programs in their customers' minds.
Participants will hear and see the step-by-step process used to create
a basic identity campaign for school districts.
Participants will take away the ability to forge an identity campaign for
their own systems.
