Turning Service Into Sales!
Finding Your Place in the School Meals Marketing Picture
Conference Version

  • Suitable for a Keynote or Breakout Session for a general audience, particularly for a mixed audience including Managers, Cooks, and other Employees
  • Session Length: 45-90 minutes
  • Also available as a full- or partial-day Employee Training Session

Session Description:

Cafeteria Employees can do more to increase sales and keep our businesses strong than anyone else, but too often "marketing" is just a word to these key people, who may not understand exactly how they fit into the marketing picture. This session will help – it’s designed with managers and employees in mind, but directors and administrators will appreciate the message, too.  Everyone can look forward to lots of audience involvement, hands-on examples, inspiring stories from the school cafeteria, fun and games, and even a guest appearance by crooner Tom Jones!  Each and every employee's individual abilities and contributions really do turn service into sales, and this session will truly fire front-line employees up for the challenges that lie ahead!

Session Objectives:

Participants will learn the four keys to successful service and marketing for front-line employees, and in the process see themselves and their jobs from new and exciting perspectives.

Managers and Employees will gain a new appreciation for the impact their actions have on a Child Nutrition Program’s bottom line.

Participants will laugh and have fun, while painlessly learning memorable service and marketing techniques that they’ll use over and over again to improve their programs.
