-
Session Length: 45-75 minutes
Session Description:
OK, so now every district has a wellness policy, and nutrition is obviously a major part of any wellness effort. So the question becomes, do you lead or follow on the wellness initiative in your district? It’s not as hard for you to lead as you might think (or fear). This session will show you how effectively communicating Wellness messages on your menu, in your facilities, and on your web site can bolster wellness awareness among your customers – and raise your profile and credibility in your district as a source for useful, easy-to-understand wellness information.
Session Objectives:
Participants will identify the elements of an effective wellness outreach effort, and explore communications strategies for “selling” wellness to customers.
Participants will see a comprehensive menu-, web-, and facilities-based wellness campaign and gain an understanding of how the pieces work together to reinforce the overall message and bolster awareness of and appreciation for the Child Nutrition Program as a source for wellness and nutrition information.
Participants will take away free Wellness materials that they can use on their menus and in their facilities.
